The highly anticipated block 12,965,000 has finally processed and ushered in EIP-1559. This POAP celebrates all of the hard work and dedication by the Ethereum Foundation and everyone involved to bring such a monumental upgrade to fruition.

After months and months of planning, Berlin is finally here! The upgrade, which follows the Istanbul and Muir Glacier upgrades, is scheduled to go live on the Ethereum mainnet at block 12 244 000. We expect this to happen around Wednesday, April 14, 2021, but because of block time variability, the exact date may change.

This POAP was distributed through reddit.com/r/ethfinance on the daily thread when Ether crossed over $4k (for the first time?). Persons who showed up on /r/ethfinance and followed a link to a crafted reddit message received a response containing a claim link.
