After many years of progress and a lengthy approval process, Spot Ethereum Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) opened for trading on July 23, 2024. The SEC approved eight ETFs, including the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH), Franklin Ethereum ETF (EZET), VanEck Ethereum ETF (ETHV), Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW), 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF (CETH), Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH), BlackRock's (BLK) iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) and the Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF (QETH). Funds raised from this POAP will go to Aestus. The Aestus MEV-Boost Relay is a neutral, non-censoring relay, which emerged from conversations between members of the EthFinance and EthStaker communities who see the need to develop credibly neutral architecture for the Ethereum staking ecosystem. On February 27, Rocket Pool released Smartnode upgrade 1.11.8. This update is essential for all users, facilitating the Deneb/Cancun ("Dencun") Mainnet upgrade on March 13, 2024, at 01:55:35 PM UTC. With the integration of blobs (EIP-4844) in Dencun, each node may require up to 103 GiB of additional disk space, averaging around 50 GiB. All clients are now Dencun-compatible, boasting enhancements and bug fixes.

Morale was notably subdued in the Rocket Pool Discord as the RPL/ETH ratio plummeted to a mere 0.00925. However, optimism started to emerge as RPL holders gained confidence in the forthcoming developments, particularly bolstered by Valdorff's recently unveiled tokenomics vision. Confident node operators rallied together to underscore their faith in the protocol. This POAP was bestowed upon RPL node operators who actively engaged in the call to action and staked RPL between February 22 and February 27, 2024.
