Thank you for joining the Prague DEFI Summit on June 8th and 9th, 2023. The summit's goal is to pave the way towards a bankless future by bringing together the DEFI community and collaborating on an action plan. We aim to build solutions that boost DEFI's mainstream appeal and adoption, and advance its future. The Prague DEFI Summit is an exciting event that has been thoughtfully curated to encourage community collaboration and idea iteration. This summit offers a unique opportunity for those interested in decentralized finance to listen to presentations, participate in panels, engage in fireside chats, and network with like-minded individuals. Topics include use cases that are only possible in decentralized finance, compliance and regulation, financial use cases in Web3, improving user experience, and shaping public perception of DEFI to increase adoption. The POAP will be distributed to real-life attendees at the registration desk throughout the event.

This POAP shows that you were there for the Ethereum Merge event on ETHGlobal.tv. Together we watched as Ethereum replaced its proof of work consensus algorithm with proof of stake reducing Ethereum’s energy consumption by ~99.95%. Additionally, to receive this POAP you needed to have joined the conversation and celebration!

The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors.
