The EVM mini-Summit features a series of EVM-related sessions at Devcon 7 SEA in Bangkok, Thailand. Speakers and panelists from the Ipsilon Team and various other projects and initiatives explore different aspects of improving Ethereum's execution environment.

Devcon is the Ethereum conference for developers, thinkers, and makers. Devcon's mission is to bring decentralized protocols, tools, and culture to the people and make Ethereum more accessible around the world. Devcon is a four-day event, all in one big venue. You'll meet everyone in that one place. Devcon Week will span the entire week of November 9-17, with events before and after Devcon, organized by the local and global Ethereum community.

TEE.salon DevCon Bangkok Edition is the 5th community R&D event since Ethcc '24 to accelerate the co-building of the TEE ecosystem within Web3 communities. Expect to participate in lightning talks, technical deep dives, whiteboarding, breakout workshops about security best practices and technical architecture of TEEs in the future architecture of compute. The address which minted this POAP participated in the KZG Summoning Ceremony: a publicly coordinated ritual to produce a random output. This output will be used in Proto-Danksharding, aka EIP 4844: an Ethereum scaling mechanism which will hopefully enable lower Layer 2 fees and greater global accessibility. EIP-4844 is expected to go live with the Dencun network upgrade in the near future. As of the time of writing, this ceremony was the largest setup of this kind when considering the number of contributions.

The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors.
