The MHP Future Hack Winner Presents: AI Simulation along the Supply Chain

Many manufacturing companies will be familiar with one challenge: The manufacturing environment is digitalized in line with Industry 4.0, but how can data from mostly non-standardized data sources be interpreted? We explored this question with Siemens at the Future Factory Hack 2022 in Dubai. Based on a digital twin developed by us, the hackathon participants had to simulate a specific application, with Logyc, being the one with the most impressive solution. In a live broadcast from the USA, Logyc and we will present approaches that help to understand the cost, time and sustainability impacts of decisions – from an end-to-end perspective. Logyc offers an AI-powered simulation and modeling platform for this purpose, which has been successfully used in MHP projects to assess the resilience of value streams or supply chains and identify risk mitigation areas. Discover the AI potential in the supply chain. Engineering, Intelligent & Flexible Manufacturing, Supply-Chain Stage H | 04:45 - 05:05 pm | Impulse Session

Digital Platforms – Can They Mitigate Global Risks Along the Supply Chain and Realize New Potential?

Current global crises are placing enormous demands on industrial companies with their complex, international, just-in-time supply chains – the automotive industry in particular needs to reorient itself. In addition to the relocation of production sites, the leading players are also driving forward reconfigurable, highly digitized supply chains and are increasingly focusing on transforming the entire automotive ecosystem. One of the critical factors for success is a cross-company exchange of production and supply chain data on digital platforms to achieve the most holistic approach possible. The automotive industry is tackling this issue. As part of the Catena-X initiative, it is developing harmonized standards and solutions for the exchange of information throughout the value chain. This will create the right conditions to prepare us for future challenges such as decarbonization and a circular economy. However, the new risks must also be considered for every opportunity – especially in terms of cyber security. So what tips the balance? Risks or opportunities? In this panel discussion, we talk to the top experts in the industry about exactly this. Join us as we discuss the future of the supply chain. How Co-Creation Can Get the Barbecue Started and Hook the Customer

Co-creation connects groups with specific challenges. The methodology is based on users creating added value on an equal footing – for example a product or service. The great benefit of co-creation is that all the experts involved have their own experience, meaning they can learn from each other. This method is so much more than just a good solution. At its heart, it aims to learn more about the needs and challenges of users. Multiple points of view result in new approaches to solutions that were not initially evident. If all co-creators work hand in hand, the result is often better than the sum of the individual services. This is true in both private and professional life. So at this introductory presentation, learn how to apply the co-creation value to your next barbecue and to hooking your customers.
