MetaBrera is my thesis project and it represents not just the first academic baseline about didactic, pedagogic and cultural development related to NFT and Crypto Art in Italy, but it is also the first "group" that maintains contacts with institutions outside the University sphere. The Thesis aims to explore the impact of NFT in the Italian art world by delving into a topic of great topicality in the art and technology world. It aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the technical tools of these worlds and their impact on the Italian art scene, offering a critical analysis and evaluation of the challenges and opportunities that this new medium represents for artists and for the entire art industry, not excluding the limitations and difficulties that can be an obstacle for the diffusion of the medium. The thesis explores and investigates how the arts and Cultural Heritage field can use, benefit from, and acquire the means that blockchain and Web 3.0 offer in the area of preservation, conservation, and promotion of artistic heritage. Following a historical and technical analysis of blockchain and NFT means, the paper focuses on how cultural realities are applying them.
