How would you feel if you planted a tree? At the time of planting you are giving life. You are giving life to a new being. You did it in the 10 seconds it took you to bury a seed and wet the ground on top of it. But that's not the only impact. In fact, you are planting a living being that will over time contribute to an ecosystem, reduce pollution, provide a home for other living creatures, generate food and generate more life around it. You are planting something that will grow into something much bigger. What would you feel now with a couple more seeds planted? Maybe it was the same time it took you to open a Maker Vault. A deposited collateral: The seed that you buried. The Dai received: The growth of this seed, until the moment it becomes a plant that creates more life and resources for other lifes. Dai is the seed turned into life that offers benefits in the ecosystem where it lives: a better, stable, and decentralized currency for the people that need it and a generator of profits, capital flow and financial freedom in the DeFi world. This medal representing the birth of a new living being not only works as an analogy for a Maker Vault and the Dai that was born from it, but also demonstrates how easy it is to plant a tree compared to how easy it was to open the Vault. Thinking about living and sustainable ecosystems while interacting with the latest money technology may sound distant. Ethereum Mainnet Shapella Fork Livestream POAP

The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors. The Ropsten Testnet successfully merged the Execution and Consensus clients on June 8, 2022. This initial public testnet merge is an important technical milestone for the Ethereum network that paves the way for other testnets and the Mainnet merge. Holders of this POAP showed their support of the Ethereum protocol by sending 1 dollar of value to Protocol Guild within the specified time ranges on the day of the testnet merge. The cumulative amount raised is over $11,000, which will be disbursed directly to the Ethereum Core Developers.
