This northern Italian Lago scene depicts, in Michelle’s own words, “A time for lunch," as several families seem to be gathering and joyfully sharing meals beneath the bright sunlight. Once again, she graces her canvas with European architecture, with additional specific detail to the tall trees, as well as the fence in the distance which conveys a remarkable depth of space. Michelle’s periodic proclivity towards densely occupied spatial configurations is presented here, with buildings in three corners of the painting and foliage filling the fourth. This street view is of Old Havana with its traditional Spanish-tiled roofs and wrought-iron terraces. Within this work, the road is wet from a recent downpour and the sun is subsequently beaming, revealing the reflection of the buildings in the puddles on the street. La proclividad periódica de Michelle hacia configuraciones espaciales densamente ocupadas se presenta aquí, con edificios en tres esquinas de la pintura y follaje llenando la cuarta.
