Linera | Community Call — May 1st, 2025
2025-05-01
This POAP commemorates our May 1st, 2025 Community Hour celebrating the launch of Drops, Linera’s new social points program. We walked through how to earn XP by completing quests, making referrals, and engaging socially—all as part of Testnet Babbage. Climb the leaderboard, invite your frens, and help shape the real-time blockchain.
This POAP commemorates Linera’s Testnet Babbage launch—the second major milestone in our testnet rollout. Building on the success of Archimedes, Babbage introduces powerful upgrades including a trustless web client, configurable PoW microchains, and Ethereum-compatible signatures, pushing Linera closer to its vision of real-time, user-centric blockchain infrastructure. During our April 17th AMA, Linera founder Mathieu Baudet was joined by key validator partners to discuss the technical advances in SDK v0.14, the role of AI-integrated oracles, and our evolving roadmap. Attendees got a firsthand look at the future of scalable microchain apps and Linera’s bold steps toward mainnet.
This week’s Community Hour POAP was claimable via secret word—available only to live listeners! We shared updates on the weekly Developer Workshop series (Tuesdays), the ongoing Games on Microchains builder challenge, our regular game tournaments, and the latest meme challenge. Thanks for showing up and staying early with Linera as we build the real-time blockchain ⛓️
We’re back with a fresh POAP drop for Community Hour—now using the secret-word method! Attendees had to tune in live and catch the passphrase to mint. This week, we talked about our upcoming weekly Developer Workshop on Tuesdays, the ongoing Games on Microchains builder challenge, our community game tournaments, and the latest meme challenge. Thanks for joining us as we continue to build real-time, microchains-powered fun together!
Thank you for joining our Community Hour call on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024! This session was a bit different—while we kept the usual fun with memes and community highlights, we also shared details about the upcoming Twitter Space with Argument. Additionally, we introduced new requirements for minting POAPs, including needing a chain role on our Discord, which is based on user activity. See you next time!
Thanks for joining our Community Catch Up on Friday, July 12th, 2024! We had another PR-breaking community call with over 200 participants. Engineer Janito and Marketers Wilton and Danny hosted an insightful discussion into why we use Rust and WebAssembly, future EVM compatibility potential, and future tokenomics. We also discussed forthcoming video content following our founder's talks at EthCC[7] in Brussels, Belgium this week. Thanks for joining Linera’s December 5th, 2024 Community Hour! This week's call featured a real-time microchains demonstration through an interactive 2048 game tournament, showcasing the speed of microchains in action. Whether you joined to compete, watch, or just hang out, we’re glad you were there! See you at the next Community Hour. 🫡
Major thanks to everyone who joined our Community Hour on Thursday, August 15th, 2024! We were once again excited to host Janito, one of our core engineers, who demoed how Linera’s microchains support fungible token transfers (see our YouTube for the video). We also reminded everyone about the current hackathon, which is wrapping up in a couple of days, and, of course, we had our usual fun with memes. This call was our most popular yet, with over a thousand attendees submitting their wallet addresses. We also held our second raffle, drawing a winner on POAP.fun from those who collected POAPs from previous calls. Stay engaged and join us on Discord for more events and discussions: discord.gg/linera
