As Rocket Pool launches to a new beginning with RP v2, the community takes a trip down memory lane. On August 5, a shaky market led to super low prices for the RPL (Rocket Pool) token. As the token dipped below $10, community members shared the state of their portfolios. This POAP was given to members who participated in and witnessed this catastrophic market event.

Each funding round, the Rocket Pool Grants and Management Committee actively seeks feedback from the community regarding the current pool of applications. As the holiday season swept over the Rocket Pool community on Discord, virtual festivities ignited a sense of camaraderie among its members. The sound of cheerful messages and rocket emojis echoed through the digital space, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Following a fruitful year of protocol development, which included the implementation of LEB8s, a remarkable 4x growth in rETH, and the launch of a new website, the community eagerly anticipated the unfolding excitement of the upcoming 2024 roadmap. The much-anticipated Houston and Saturn upgrades stood out as key milestones, promising to further elevate Rocket Pool's capabilities and solidify its position in the evolving landscape of decentralized Ethereum staking. This POAP was awarded to the Discord members that joined in on the festivities.

The user 'rpl-benefactor' returned to Rocket Pool's Discord #trading channel on December 1st, 2023 to announce that they had 535 RPL (worth >$15,000) to distribute to the community over the coming days. Funds were donated by: Waq donated $3000, with the caveat that the whole community must rally to reach $10,000 in total donations. Once that amount was reached, the RPL Benefactor would distribute the equivalent value in RPL to members of the community. 62 Community members bought the POAP priced at 0.05 ETH. https://poap.gallery/event/159708 In addition to Waq and POAP buyers, the final amount also included generous donations from Thomasg and an Anon whale. Voting is currently underway for what might be the most significant tokenomics change in Rocket Pool's history.
