This POAP will be issued to anyone who was operating their own Ethereum staking node, either as a solo staker or as a Rocket Pool node operator, as of the time of the merge. The first use of this POAP will be to vote on an art style for a non-transferrable NFT which will be issued to node operators. The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors. On Friday, August 12th @ 3:00PM UTC EthStaker core members, Yorick, Remy Roy, and myself with be hosting a Valiidator workshop. This will be a goerli post-merge workshop and provide you with the steps necessary to test setting up your mainnet validator. On top of speed running the steps to configure your validator for mainnet, we'll discuss setting up your dashboard for monitoring your validator, review what pruning is and when and how to do it, in addition to having the Stereum team provide an update on their Update/Upkeep challenge. This is also a great oppertunity for those who have questions about staking, the merge and anything in between when we open the livestream up for community Q&A at the end.

EthStaker core crew members Yorick, Remy Roy, and Unvetica host another validator workshop. This time the crew is focused on how to update when running a non-validating RPC node, how to add a 🐼to your graffiti tag, switching from Geth to another client, showing off how to move using coincashews’s setup, in addition to having members from the Stereum team showing how to do merge-ready setup with their platform.

On Wednesday, August 17th @ 4:00PM UTC the EthStaker crew will be joined by members of the Swell team. We'll learn more about Swell's permissionless, non-custodial, and liquid staking options - In addition to understanding more about who the team who supports swell, their mission, and what they're planning for in the future in a post-merge world.
