On March 13, 2024, the Dencun hard fork occurred. The bustling #trading community within the Rocket Pool Discord diligently monitored their nodes to ensure everything remained stable during the fork. Numerous users shared their Ethereum logs, as the massive blob ASCII printed to their command lines. This upgrade, being dubbed the smoothest hard fork ever, transformed what could have been a daunting process into a seamless transition. As a token of recognition, the Rocket Pool community actively engaging in the #trading channel during the Dencun fork were awarded a POAP.

Holders of this POAP celebrated Ethereum Mainnet's upgrade to Dencun. This eagerly anticipated upgrade is projected to reduce gas fees for Layer 2 networks, unlocking greater scaling for the Ethereum ecosystem. Morale was notably subdued in the Rocket Pool Discord as the RPL/ETH ratio plummeted to a mere 0.00925. However, optimism started to emerge as RPL holders gained confidence in the forthcoming developments, particularly bolstered by Valdorff's recently unveiled tokenomics vision. Confident node operators rallied together to underscore their faith in the protocol. This POAP was bestowed upon RPL node operators who actively engaged in the call to action and staked RPL between February 22 and February 27, 2024.

After Ramana's Rocketarb huff contract got hacked and Ramana's 32 ETH were stolen, the Rocket Pool Community came together to help him. Since the community has profited tremendously from the Rocketarb contract that Ramana.eth had crafted, they felt like it was only fair to give back a little to ease Ramana's pain.
