Valeria Santoro is cancer research scientist by training turned social entrepreneur. Her first social initiative was Together Women Can, a social intrapreneurship initiative at Boehringer Ingelheim and a non-profit organisation with the mission to provide vulnerable women in Kenya access to cervical cancer prevention and sexual health education. She is also the Founder of Lightup Impact, a social enterprise striving to empower a community of 90 early-stage grassroots organisations to fight inequalities in health and gender and become sustainable in East Africa. I’ve met Jesus at the Lightup Impact Fundraising event, Sunday 22nd January 2023, at the Byron Bar, Bayer Pharma HQs, Berlin. They aim to raise money and find partners to empower one early-stage grassroots organization in gender & health in East Africa to become sustainable. They will support and train for a whole year their key leadership, strategic, and advocacy skills.
