For the month of February 2023, jcrtp.eth (Joe) has been burning the proverbial midnight oil and working some very long hours to ship Atlas and v1.9 on time. The Rocket Pool community took the time to thank Joe for his amazing work and thank his wife for supporting him during that time. On January 23, 2024, twitter user @GwartyGwart tweeted “If you’re ever stranded on a desert island just yell “Lido” and a Rocketpool community member will locate you and tell you that with 16 ETH you can earn more than Lido’s corporate validator set or whatever”. @marceaueth responded by sharing an edited comic strip by Kim Duchateau showing a red haired woman trapped on a beach and spelling out the word “LIDO” with rocks to summon help, and Rocket Poolers arrive quickly. This event peaked two days later when @ProfWerder, who happens to have a PFP showing a red haired woman messaged Superphiz to ask for help to encourage the Nouns DAO to stake Ether in Rocket Pool rather than Lido. In response, Superphiz created a group including Rocket Pool researchers to respond to the problem, thus fulfilling the prophecy as many Rocket Poolers came to her aid.
