„Und, geht es Rudolf besser?“, fragte der Weihnachtsmann besorgt. Der gesamte Nordpol war in heller Aufregung, weil Rudolfs Augen immer schlechter wurden und er immer weniger sehen konnte, wohin er fliegt. „Ja, die Spritze hat Wunder gewirkt“, beruhigte Milli, die Heilelfe, ihren Chef. „Es ist die reinste Magie.“ „Zeig mir mal die Verpackung“, bat der Weihnachtsmann neugierig. „Das Kreuz hier, das habe ich schon mal gesehen. An einem Hochhaus in Berlin. Ich werde der Sache auf den Grund gehen und herausfinden, wo diese Magie herkommt.“ Kurz darauf landete der Weihnachtsmannschlitten unauffällig auf dem Balkon des Bayer-Hauptgebäudes am Standort Berlin. "So, is Rudolf feeling better?" asked Santa worriedly. The entire North Pole was in a frenzy because Rudolf's eyes were getting worse, and he could see less and less where he was flying to. "Yes, the injection worked wonders," Milli, the healing elf, reassured her boss. "It's pure magic." "Let me see the package," Santa asked curiously. "This cross here, I've seen it before. On a high-rise building in Berlin. I'm going to get to the bottom of this and find out where this magic came from." Shortly thereafter, Santa's sleigh landed inconspicuously on the balcony of Bayer's main building at the Berlin site.

Energisch stiefelte der Weihnachtsmann durch die Gänge – natürlich nicht im roten Feiertagsmantel, sondern in dezenter Alltagskleidung. Diese Zauber-Spritze, die Rudolfs Augen geheilt hatte, musste er sich genauer ansehen. Schließlich entdeckte er einen Fahrstuhl, mit dem er das Foyer erreichte. Hier traf sich gerade eine Besuchergruppe, die die Forschung und Entwicklung besuchen wollte. Das klang genau richtig! Da wurden bestimmt Medikamente wie diese Zauberspritze erfunden! Der Weihnachtsmann folgte der Gruppe zum Gebäude S107 und dann durch verschiedene Labore. Die Arbeit der Wissenschaftler war wirklich faszinierend! Doch was war das? Beim Blick aus dem Fenster erspähte er durch seine Brille etwas Überraschendes. Energetically, Santa Claus strode through the floors - not in his red coat, of course, but in discreet everyday clothes. He had to take a closer look at this magic syringe that had healed Rudolf's eyes. Finally, he spotted an elevator, which he used to reach the foyer. A group of visitors was just meeting there to visit Research and Development. That sounded just right! They must have invented drugs like this magic syringe there! Santa followed the group to building S107 and then through various labs. The work of the scientists was really fascinating! But what was that? Looking out the window, he spied something surprising through his glasses.

Auf der anderen Straßenseite stand ein Feuerwehrauto – so rot glänzend wie Rudolfs Nase. Der Weihnachtsmann ließ sich etwas zurückfallen und tippte an seine Nase. Schon stand er vor dem Fahrzeug. Offenbar hatten die Menschen in dieser Firma eine eigene Werkfeuerwehr – so wie er am Nordpol auch. Der Weihnachtsmann war ein großer Feuerwehrfan, außerdem wurde am Nordpol viel mit Holz gearbeitet und es brannten zahlreiche Kerzen, darum war das Weihnachtsmanndorf diesbezüglich gut aufgestellt – Brandschutz war das oberste Gebot. Fasziniert betrachtete der Mann mit dem weißen Bart den umfangreichen Fuhrpark. Er war begeistert! On the other side of the street was a fire truck - as shiny red as Rudolf's nose. Santa let himself fall back a little and tapped his nose. Promptly he was standing in front of the vehicle. Apparently, the people in this company had their own plant fire brigade - just like he did at the North Pole. Santa was a big fan of the fire brigade, and besides, they worked a lot with wood at the North Pole and burned a lot of candles, so Santa's village was well set up in that regard - fire safety was top priority. Fascinated the man with the white beard regarded the extensive fleet of vehicles. He was thrilled!

Eine Gruppe junger Menschen verließ das Feuerwehr-Gebäude. Den Gesprächen nach, hatten sie an einer Erste-Hilfe-Schulung teilgenommen. Nun überquerten sie die Straße und der Weihnachtsmann folgte ihnen bis in ein großes rotes Ziegelsteingebäude. Offenbar war hier die Ausbildung untergebracht. Unauffällig erkundete er das Gebäude, entdeckte Ausbildungslabore, Büros und einen großen Pausenraum, in dem einige Azubis oder Studierende saßen. Er nickte ihnen freundlich zu und spitze die Ohren. Worüber sie sich wohl unterhielten? A group of young people left the fire brigade building. According to the conversations, they had participated in a first aid training. Now they crossed the street and Santa Claus followed them into a large red brick building. Apparently, this was where the vocational school was housed. Unobtrusively, he explored the building, discovering training labs, offices, and a large break room where some trainees or students were sitting. He nodded at them in a friendly manner and pricked up his ears. I wonder what they are talking about.

Wie aufregend! Eine junge Frau und ein junger Mann wollten gleich zu einem Meeting bei LEAPS aufbrechen. Offenbar war das eine Abteilung, in der man große Herausforderungen anging, zum Beispiel Krebs zur heilen und vorzubeugen. Dabei arbeitete Bayer mit Unternehmen zusammen und unterstützte diese finanziell, aber auch durch aktive Beratung, Know-how-Austausch und Kollaborationsmöglichkeiten. Der Forschungserfolg ist risikoreich – aber wie die Weihnachtselfen in der Spielzeugentwicklungsabteilung immer sagen: Wer nichts wagt, der nicht gewinnt! Der Weihnachtsmann folgte den beiden jungen Leuten unauffällig mit großem Abstand. How exciting! A young woman and a young man were about to leave for a meeting at LEAPS. Apparently, this was a department that was tackling major challenges, such as curing and preventing cancer. Bayer was working with companies and supporting them financially, but also through active consulting, know-how exchange and collaboration opportunities. Research success is risky - but as the Christmas elves in the toy development department always say: Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Santa followed the two young people unobtrusively at a great distance.

Der Weihnachtsmann lauschte an der Tür dem Meeting. Er spürte die Begeisterung und Hoffnung aller und war begeistert von diesem Engagement. Als die Teilnehmenden den Besprechungsraum verließen, ging er hinterher. Am Fuß der Treppe stolperte die junge Frau und verletzte sich den Fuß. „Ich bringe dich zum Betriebsärztlichen Dienst“, sagte der junge Mann und stützte sie. „Kann ich helfen?“, bot der Weihnachtsmann an, und gemeinsam brachten sie die junge Frau zur Ärztin. „Vielleicht liegt es an Ihren Augen, dass Sie gestolpert sind. Es gibt eine Zauberspritze, die die Augen wieder heil macht“, sagte der Weihnachtsmann zu der verletzten jungen Frau und verabschiedete sich. „Frohe Weihnachten!“ Santa Claus listened to the meeting at the door. He sensed everyone's enthusiasm and hope and was excited by their commitment. When the participants left the meeting room, he went after them. At the foot of the stairs, the young woman tripped and hurt her foot. "I'll take you to Occupational Medicine & Health," the young man said, supporting her. "Can I help?" offered Santa, and together they took the young woman to the doctor. "Maybe your eyesight is weakening, that is why you tripped. There is a magic injection that will make your eyesight strong again," Santa said to the injured young woman and said goodbye. "Merry Christmas!"
