This week’s Community Hour POAP marks the final countdown to the Games on Microchains submission deadline—entries are due by end of day Friday, May 30th! We shared last-minute reminders, celebrated our builders, and continued our usual updates on developer workshops, game tournaments, and community Drops campaigns. Thanks for joining us as we build real-time, chain-powered applications together ⛓️
We kicked off our first POAP drop of 2025 during today’s Community Hour call! Danny Greene, our usual host, joined us to discuss the latest questing campaign with Galxe, which launched today. We covered the usual POAP raffle and claim process, along with our “Better, Faster, Linera” meme challenge—announcing winners and sharing all the creative submissions. We also reminded everyone about our internet tournaments and game nights. Since it’s the new year and we’re welcoming many new faces from the Galxe quest, we went over the basics of Linera, shared insights about our founder Mathieu Baudet, and encouraged everyone to join the quest (especially the one focused on learning about Linera). We emphasized how early everyone still is—our mainnet hasn’t even launched yet!
Thanks for joining our Community Hour on October 24th, 2024! This POAP commemorates a special session featuring Mathieu Baudet (Linera’s Founder) and Stephen Hilton (Head of Solutions and Chief of Staff at Space and Time), along with Mike from Space and Time. Together, we discussed the exciting new partnership between Linera and Space and Time, bringing real-time, trustless data querying to Web3. It was great to have community members from both projects participate in this important milestone for decentralized infrastructure!
This POAP commemorates our community call on September 24th, 2024! In this session, Danny joined from France after returning from Linera’s successful participation at TOKEN2049 in Singapore. He shared insights about Linera’s presence at the conference and provided a foundational overview of the project for our EU and African community members.
Major thanks to everyone who joined our Community Hour on Thursday, August 15th, 2024! We were once again excited to host Janito, one of our core engineers, who demoed how Linera’s microchains support fungible token transfers (see our YouTube for the video). We also reminded everyone about the current hackathon, which is wrapping up in a couple of days, and, of course, we had our usual fun with memes. This call was our most popular yet, with over a thousand attendees submitting their wallet addresses. We also held our second raffle, drawing a winner on POAP.fun from those who collected POAPs from previous calls. Stay engaged and join us on Discord for more events and discussions: discord.gg/linera
Shoutout to those who joined our Community Call on Thursday, August 8th, 2024! We were thrilled to have Andre Da Silva, one of our talented engineers, share his journey to Linera and his current work on blobs. Andre, who comes from Meta like our founder Mathieu and VP of Marketing Pateel, provided insights into the innovative projects he’s working on that are shaping our protocol. This week also marked our first raffle, where we drew a winner on POAP.fun based on the POAPs collected from joiners on previous calls. In addition to the tech talk, we had some fun with memes and reviewed photos shared our new #pets channel on Discord, where community members can share photos of their non-human kin.
