This POAP is meant to commemorate The Merge on the Ethereum protocol. We, the fine people of r/ethfinance, have been counting down the days to this historical event. Literally. Everyday u/Moschus11 has been posting a countdown to the estimated merge date and the fellow subredditors have been upvoting, downvoting, correcting, criticising, reviewing, validating his best guess. As a small token of appreciation to our little corner of the internet he would like to hand out this POAP to remember The Merge, but more so the countdown itself. Because, after all, the journey is the reward.

The Goerli Testnet successfully merged the Execution and Consensus clients on August 10th, 2022. Holders of this POAP were there for this historical moment, and also supported $2 or more to Coin Center, a non-profit focused on crypto policy.
