For the second year, Paris Photo 2024 proposes a new sector dedicated to photography in the digital age. Again curated by Nina Roehrs – specialist for art in the digital age – the Digital Sector features a selection of fifteen contemporary galleries and curated platforms at the forefront of new technologies, showcasing artists who integrate digital realities into their work. To mark the occasion, renowned artist Gretchen Andrew has created a digital souvenir for all visitors of the Digital Sector based on her of Facetune Portraits – pre- sented by L’Avant Gallery Vossen in Paris Photo’s Digital Sector.
DYOR (Do Your Own Research) is a dictum of the crypto scene. The principle is that one should do one's own investigation rather than believing all that is read. The exhibition reveals to visitors what is, for many, a new world: art in the context of blockchain and NFTs. Curated by Nina Roehrs, DYOR focusses on artists, projects and platforms that have had a significant influence on how the crypto art scene has developed and is today. This DYOR – POAP can be collected when visiting the exhibition in Zürich. Created by Andreas Gysin (aka ertdfgcvb)
