In this meeting something very important happened, you learned about how Treasure will be a web3 platform for indie film lovers, aiming for a more democratic and viewer-driven approach compared to streaming giants. Treasure aims to address a few key problems for independent filmmakers in the current film industry: Limited distribution channels: Indie filmmakers often struggle to get their work distributed through traditional channels like major studios or theaters. Unequal funding: Securing funding is a major hurdle for independent films. Focus on blockbusters: Traditional studios often prioritize big-budget films with high commercial potential. This leaves less space and resources for independent voices and stories. Lack of transparency: The traditional film industry can be opaque, making it difficult for filmmakers to track how their films are performing and how revenue and royalties are distributed.

Gathered in a vibrant meeting room, I had the pleasure of introducing the essence of Las Flores Indie Tech Film Festival. As I shared that we are the only independent technology film festival celebrating the convergence between cinema and Web3, celebrating art, culture, and innovation, I seamlessly transitioned to the relevance of Web3 in the film industry. It was said how Web3 technologies are reshaping the landscape of filmmaking, fostering decentralization, empowering creators, and revolutionizing distribution channels.
