Break the Bias – How to Break Down Barriers in the Mind and at Work
The human brain is a remarkable product of evolution. Unfortunately, the brain activity that has kept our species alive for millions of years is preventing us from achieving full equality today. At this introductory presentation, you will learn how the human brain reacts instinctively when faced with the unexpected – such as saber-toothed tigers or female leaders in the technology industry. It shows the effects and consequences of stereotyping and prejudice, and what a bias-free world could look like, for example, by becoming allies of disadvantaged people and working together to create a world of opportunity and diversity. The world can only change if we check our own behavior as soon as we are confronted with the unknown. Are you on board? Personal Development Stage P | 04:45 - 05:05 pm | Personal Development
The MHP Future Hack Winner Presents: AI Simulation along the Supply Chain
Many manufacturing companies will be familiar with one challenge: The manufacturing environment is digitalized in line with Industry 4.0, but how can data from mostly non-standardized data sources be interpreted? We explored this question with Siemens at the Future Factory Hack 2022 in Dubai. Based on a digital twin developed by us, the hackathon participants had to simulate a specific application, with Logyc, being the one with the most impressive solution. In a live broadcast from the USA, Logyc and we will present approaches that help to understand the cost, time and sustainability impacts of decisions – from an end-to-end perspective. Logyc offers an AI-powered simulation and modeling platform for this purpose, which has been successfully used in MHP projects to assess the resilience of value streams or supply chains and identify risk mitigation areas. Discover the AI potential in the supply chain. Engineering, Intelligent & Flexible Manufacturing, Supply-Chain Stage H | 04:45 - 05:05 pm | Impulse Session
Leading the Sustainable Transition – the Keynote Speech for the Big Picture
Dr. Harald Neidhardt, a scientist in geoecology at the University of Tübingen, gives an insight into the work of the Futur/io institute in his keynote speech. His mission is to help organizations and a network of chief sustainability officers to develop their sustainable roadmaps by 2030. Using vivid examples and ideas for a new era of regenerative shaping of the future, he inspires others to replace linear thinking with moonshot thinking. He also calls for a different kind of transformation to achieve decisive changes in organizational development before the end of 2030 – through inspiration, ideas, and innovation. One of Harald Neidhardt’s passions is expressing natural processes as metaphors and conveying a sense of time and the future. One approach is to see metamorphosis as a symbol of change – in contrast to the much too slow (digital) transformation that has been going on at Deutschland AG for more than 30 years.
