On January 10, 2024, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), led by Gary Gensler, granted approval for spot Bitcoin ETF applications from multiple providers. The Ethereum community applauds Bitcoin's adoption and success, and we joyfully join in the celebration with you. The POAP design, credited to @shf_ryn, is a symbol of this milestone. All proceeds generated from the distribution of this POAP will be directed to Brink, supporting the continual development of Bitcoin.

In 2023, Rocket Pool node operators actively engaged in prompt smart node updates to qualify for a POAP. These timely upgrades not only facilitated the testing of new software but also motivated node operators to ensure the continuous maintenance of their nodes. Node operators used their POAPs to enter a raffle to crown a champion. [object Object] was victorious and was awarded 5 RPL and his name on the POAP. This POAP was awarded to all raffle participants.

The user 'rpl-benefactor' returned to Rocket Pool's Discord #trading channel on December 1st, 2023 to announce that they had 535 RPL (worth >$15,000) to distribute to the community over the coming days. Funds were donated by: Waq donated $3000, with the caveat that the whole community must rally to reach $10,000 in total donations. On Dec 1st, 2023, Waq hosted his 300th episode of Rocket Fuel - his daily news show about the Rocket Pool community and protocol. In celebration, Waq donated $3000 to the RPL Benefactor, a member of the Rocket Pool community known for distributing RPL to community members. Waq donated the money with the caveat that the whole community must rally to reach $10,000 in total donations. Once that amount was reached, the RPL Benefactor would distribute the RPL to members of the community. However, if that amount was not reached by Dec 1st, the RPL/eth/whatever would be sent back to donors. This POAP was part of the fundraising drive to reach the $10,000 target. This POAP was sold using POAP checkout with the aim of reaching $10,000. The people who bought the POAP donated $100 (the cost of the POAP) to the RPL Benefactor for them to distribute to the RP community. In donating their money, they became the RPL Benefactor This POAP was created by Shfryn, and it was distributed by Waq through POAP checkout.
