Picking up after Michael Jackson, Prince, and James Brown. Pharaoh Sistare’s love for Golden Age movies found its way into his brand. Fred Astaire and Bob Fosse, in particular, brought another dimension to his love for dance and cinematography. He would later find himself in music production, creating beats for other artists. However, he decided to forge his own path in the music industry. Pharaoh Sistare attracted a following, with many listeners comparing him to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. His voice, style, youthful appearance, and angelic aura made it easy for people to draw comparisons. From the mouths of those who's ears were touched by Tre Charles: "Tre. Charles is a driven, charismatic, and thoughtful artist who connects with his audience through music that’s both warm and deeply personal....his vocals are luscious and soulful." - Max Russ "WXTJ" "His singing, slow as oil yet light as air, suffuses the arrangement with an atmosphere of weary resilience, as if Charles is casually carrying the weight of the world." (Stressin.) - Brian Howe "INDY Week" "Hauntingly beautiful renditions" - Carrboro Music Fest
