I passed through Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines in 2026, and I got to mint this pretty POAP! MNL is named after Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., a Filipino senator and opposition leader. It's the main international gateway to the Philippines, and the busiest airport in the country. This POAP was minted in 2026 as part of a campaign to offer precious digital collectibles to travellers around the world.

In 2026, the beloved ritual of receiving an inked passport stamp at a country’s port of entry is fading into the rearview mirror. Much of North America and Asia-Pacific stopped issuing stamps years ago, and Europe’s Schengen region is now transitioning to a fully digital, biometric entry-and-exit system, leaving travelers without a physical reminder of where they’ve been. The POAP Airport Rally offers a way to reconnect with that tradition. Starting January 1st 2026, travelers can mint a unique, commemorative POAP using POAP’s GPS minting feature at over 100 participating airports around the world. Each POAP carries artwork that is unique to that airport, and a special piece of trivia to help travelers connect with the places they are passing through. This POAP is distributed via POAP Airship, and serves as one of the qualifying tokens that unlocks participation in the POAP Airport Rally.

Rocket Pool has released Smart Node v1.15.7, a major update featuring critical client upgrades, oDAO health check fixes, and a major consolidation of legacy repositories into the main smartnode repo for easier future development. NodeSet's successful launch led to the creation of over 500 additional Rocket Pool minipools. With the increase in maximum validators per node, node operators eagerly competed for these new minipools, resulting in hundreds of failed transactions on Ethereum.
