Von Zollverein in Essen über die Zechen Osterfeld und Sterkrade in Oberhausen, Prosper-Haniel in Bottrop, Ewald in Herten, Consolidation in Gelsenkirchen bis Zollern in Dortmund. Die Fördertürme als Symbole für die Geschichte seiner Heimatregion, die Grundlage des Wohlstandes in Deutschland - das Schwarz und Grau für die Vergänglichkeit und den Niedergang des Steinkohlenbergbaus - aber auch die Farben für den Wandel und die Zukunftsperspektiven.
