I passed through John F. Kennedy International Airport in NYC, United States in 2026, and I got to mint this pretty POAP! JFK is one of the busiest airports in the United States, and a major gateway for international travel. It has its own animal terminal, called the Ark, which is a luxury facility for pets and horses traveling through the airport. This POAP was minted in 2026 as part of a campaign to offer precious digital collectibles to travellers around the world.

In 2026, the beloved ritual of receiving an inked passport stamp at a country’s port of entry is fading into the rearview mirror. Much of North America and Asia-Pacific stopped issuing stamps years ago, and Europe’s Schengen region is now transitioning to a fully digital, biometric entry-and-exit system, leaving travelers without a physical reminder of where they’ve been. The POAP Airport Rally offers a way to reconnect with that tradition. Starting January 1st 2026, travelers can mint a unique, commemorative POAP using POAP’s GPS minting feature at over 100 participating airports around the world. Each POAP carries artwork that is unique to that airport, and a special piece of trivia to help travelers connect with the places they are passing through. This POAP is distributed via POAP Airship, and serves as one of the qualifying tokens that unlocks participation in the POAP Airport Rally.
