The last monthly Ethereum Meetup of 2025 in beautiful Budapest with festive vibes - a recap of 2025 development, ecosystem, and market highlights, casual community discussions, and networking.

The Ethereum network is celebrating its 10th birthday on July 30, 2025, and the Hungarian Ethereum community is also turning 3! We will gather in Budapest for a fun celebration meetup. 🎉 Our POAP features our mascot, the Puli—a Hungarian shepherd dog known for its mop-like appearance. Our logo draws inspiration from the Rubik's Cube invented by Ernő Rubik (adapting its triangle version).

This is POAP issued for dreamers in attendance for Onchain Dreamers monthly community call, scheduled for September 20th 2024. It is also the third community call.

After many years of progress and a lengthy approval process, Spot Ethereum Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) opened for trading on July 23, 2024. The SEC approved eight ETFs, including the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH), Franklin Ethereum ETF (EZET), VanEck Ethereum ETF (ETHV), Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW), 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF (CETH), Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH), BlackRock's (BLK) iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) and the Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF (QETH). Funds raised from this POAP will go to Aestus. The Aestus MEV-Boost Relay is a neutral, non-censoring relay, which emerged from conversations between members of the EthFinance and EthStaker communities who see the need to develop credibly neutral architecture for the Ethereum staking ecosystem. Holders of this POAP celebrated Ethereum Mainnet's upgrade to Dencun. This eagerly anticipated upgrade is projected to reduce gas fees for Layer 2 networks, unlocking greater scaling for the Ethereum ecosystem. The first use of this POAP will be to vote on an art style for a non-transferrable NFT which will be issued to node operators. The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors.
