A POAP for our Stoner Cats Titanium Hands Club

This POAP commemorates the mergening of /r/ethfinance and /r/ethereum. Now the hallowed Ethfinance Daily is a front-page feature within /r/ethereum! On the 23rd of May 2024, I spent the day with other ethfinanciers waiting for the US Securities and Exchange Commission to approve the exchange applications for spot ether ETFs. We did it!

Ether first crossed $4,000 in October 2021, at the time it was near the end of a wild bull run. Today we passed $4k for the second time, nearly 30 months later, with a totally new perspective: this feels more like the beginning of a new bull cycle than the end of one. Holders of this distinguished token were celebrating on /r/ethfinance around the time of Ethers return to a value of 3000 United States dollars, after a nearly 2 year hiatus, on Tuesday, 20th of February, 2024, between 13:45 and 13:46 GMT. This is Gentlemen?

In the afternoon of January 9th of 2024, the SEC thought we weren't having enough fun so they tendered us an unbelievable series of events that made life feel like science fiction. Sergito.eth paged Arsonic.eth in the cryptopunks Telegram to make a POAP to celebrate and here we are :) This POAP will be an open edition available to mint for a couple days, and one lucky collector will be awarded a Sgt Pepe masterpiece, created by Arsonic in Late 2022.

The address which minted this POAP participated in the KZG Summoning Ceremony: a publicly coordinated ritual to produce a random output. This output will be used in Proto-Danksharding, aka EIP 4844: an Ethereum scaling mechanism which will hopefully enable lower Layer 2 fees and greater global accessibility. EIP-4844 is expected to go live with the Dencun network upgrade in the near future. As of the time of writing, this ceremony was the largest setup of this kind when considering the number of contributions.
