This POAP commemorates the mergening of /r/ethfinance and /r/ethereum. Now the hallowed Ethfinance Daily is a front-page feature within /r/ethereum! Collectors of this POAP made a donation of ~$5 of ETH to the Protocol Guild. /r/ethereum is now a mullet: Ethereum tech on the front page and price action (and more) in the daily. On the 23rd of May 2024, I spent the day with other ethfinanciers waiting for the US Securities and Exchange Commission to approve the exchange applications for spot ether ETFs. We did it!

In the afternoon of January 9th of 2024, the SEC thought we weren't having enough fun so they tendered us an unbelievable series of events that made life feel like science fiction. Sergito.eth paged Arsonic.eth in the cryptopunks Telegram to make a POAP to celebrate and here we are :) This POAP will be an open edition available to mint for a couple days, and one lucky collector will be awarded a Sgt Pepe masterpiece, created by Arsonic in Late 2022.

What happens when you open a new Maker Vault? The address which minted this POAP participated in the KZG Summoning Ceremony: a publicly coordinated ritual to produce a random output. This output will be used in Proto-Danksharding, aka EIP 4844: an Ethereum scaling mechanism which will hopefully enable lower Layer 2 fees and greater global accessibility. EIP-4844 is expected to go live with the Dencun network upgrade in the near future. As of the time of writing, this ceremony was the largest setup of this kind when considering the number of contributions.
