Accessibility for persons with disabilities is a new topic for us, but we found this to be important when it was presented to us how many small business owners don't or don't know how to accommodate persons of disabilities. We started a weekly Twitter Space called Biz Banter where we discuss various topics that affect small business owners. Recently, we asked our audience what topics they'd like to discuss in the next couple of weeks. Someone brought up accessibility for persons who are hearing and vision impaired. We realized that accessibility for disabled persons is sorely lacking in the small business mindset. We arrived at the idea that if a business demonstrates empathy for the challenges faced by disabled persons, that becomes an opportunity to grow their enterprise by offering services/products to a wider audience. WHO WE ARE: 60+ years combined of owning, running and managing businesses and working with thousands of business owners to understand how business can be fun or it can falter.
