Around October 30, 2025, Beaconcha.in data provided by Hildobby, showed that the share of validators on the Ethereum beacon chain operated by Lido had fallen below 22%. 22% is regarded as a critical threshold for entity size, because larger entities represent a centralization and governance risk to the network. We welcome Lido as an aligned actor and we celebrate the robustness of the beacon chain.

Danny Ryan is best known as the key researcher and facilitator for the transition in Ethereum from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS), often regarded as a modern engineering marvel. The transition to Proof of Stake reduced the energy footprint of Ethereum by more than 99%, it brought increased efficiency, increased security, increased scalability, and greater decentralization to Ethereum. Danny is also regarded as a central figure in developing the core ethos and vision of Ethereum as a chain committed to long term sustainability and decentralization. Danny's leadership and commitment to making Ethereum sustainable have been vital to the success of the Ethereum beacon chain. On September 13, 2024, Danny announced that he was moving on from this work. As a community, we are deeply appreciative of Danny's efforts and we wish him the best. Collecting this POAP involves a 0.001 Ether donation to the Protocol Guild.

After many years of progress and a lengthy approval process, Spot Ethereum Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) opened for trading on July 23, 2024. The SEC approved eight ETFs, including the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH), Franklin Ethereum ETF (EZET), VanEck Ethereum ETF (ETHV), Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW), 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF (CETH), Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH), BlackRock's (BLK) iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) and the Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF (QETH). Funds raised from this POAP will go to Aestus. The Aestus MEV-Boost Relay is a neutral, non-censoring relay, which emerged from conversations between members of the EthFinance and EthStaker communities who see the need to develop credibly neutral architecture for the Ethereum staking ecosystem. Holders of this POAP celebrated Ethereum Mainnet's upgrade to Dencun. On January 10, 2024, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), led by Gary Gensler, granted approval for spot Bitcoin ETF applications from multiple providers. The Ethereum community applauds Bitcoin's adoption and success, and we joyfully join in the celebration with you. The POAP design, credited to @shf_ryn, is a symbol of this milestone. All proceeds generated from the distribution of this POAP will be directed to Brink, supporting the continual development of Bitcoin.

In the afternoon of January 9th of 2024, the SEC thought we weren't having enough fun so they tendered us an unbelievable series of events that made life feel like science fiction. Sergito.eth paged Arsonic.eth in the cryptopunks Telegram to make a POAP to celebrate and here we are :) This POAP will be an open edition available to mint for a couple days, and one lucky collector will be awarded a Sgt Pepe masterpiece, created by Arsonic in Late 2022.

The address which minted this POAP participated in the KZG Summoning Ceremony: a publicly coordinated ritual to produce a random output. This output will be used in Proto-Danksharding, aka EIP 4844: an Ethereum scaling mechanism which will hopefully enable lower Layer 2 fees and greater global accessibility. EIP-4844 is expected to go live with the Dencun network upgrade in the near future. As of the time of writing, this ceremony was the largest setup of this kind when considering the number of contributions.
