This digital still is derived from Self Emergent. The piece captures a frame of the installationās camera-to-algorithm loop, reprocessing it through intentional glitches, digital collage, noise, and color shift. Ultimately, this work further explores how code and digital transformation can help de-familiarize and recast the body as a pattern. This work was created during Emily Xieās participation in the Toledo Museum of Artās Digital Artist in Residence program in 2025.
