The first Hodlercon, Hawaii 2022, grew out of a need for hope in the depths of the 2019/2020 bear market. A cadre of redditors in r/ethfinance swore they’d meet on the beaches of Hawaii if ETH’s price recovered to its previous all time high. It did, all the way to $4,850, and the following June a bunch of awesome people from around the world had a blast singing karaoke despite ETH’s price simultaneously tanking below $1,000 for the last* time.
