Tech Weekly Meeting #44
2026-01-26
This week we enjoyed the nuances of the App Store approval flow, while juggling priorities and discussing timestamps, a complex and controversial subject even in the age of AGI. Snip snap snip snap.

Leo is back baby! A new update for POAP Home is dropping that allows users to mint token gated drops by paying a small fee. Exciting! Our problems with Banana Link seem to be getting smaller as more of the team gets involved.
Tech Weekly Meeting 2026 #42

Today the team helped debug some errors in the Banana Link project. Jack and Fede are back from their break, but it seems like a bunch of emails made their way to their inboxes. Hopefully they get that sorted out. The console BFF deploy was pushed back a day. Will the team be able to deploy it without issues? Tune in next episode!

Happy New Year! This meeting was a short one since many are OOO for the holidays. We discussed a few topics related to bugs coming from tech debt and development on the upcoming weeks.

Christmas edition! Tomy and Reobin had a bet on the outcome of a deployment in the new Console BFF service. Luckily for the team, the deployment went smoothly without errors. Tomy lost the bet and was in charge of today's POAP. The team was divided in this edition: - Some of them were investigating an issue caused by a hard fork in Gnosis. - Part of the team remained in the weekly call to discuss today's issues. A couple of missing members are enjoying their deserved holiday break. Probably feeling cozy in their homes, with snow outside. A very different situation from the typical Argentinian christmas which usually involves asados, swim suits and the usual relative who has had too much cider.
Tech Weekly Meeting 2025 #38
2025-12-16
This week, the team is fully embracing the holiday spirit with our own take on 2025 Wrapped. Slack messages and PRs are wrapping up nicely too—numbers are going up, some in very encouraging ways, others… raising a few eyebrows (looking at you, backend API calls 👀📈). We also addressed one of our team’s biggest concerns: distinguishing between the Francos (Franco B → Franco A, Franco B → Franco B?) One thing we can all agree on though: the wheel is rigged. Joyeuse fêtes!

In this edition of the tech weekly, we welcomed the new POAP members, Francdos and Santiago 🎉. We also addressed the elephant in the room...

I helped the POAP team test Project Tanuki and minted this Tanuki-branded POAP using the newly integrated Delivery distribution method.
Tech Weekly Meeting 2025 #33
2025-11-04
On this weeks iteration of POAP's weekly Tech meeting, we went over our ongoing preparations for the upcoming Devconnect. The team is on track and is moving onto stabilizing some known failure points in our app's infrastructure/runtime. This is the first meeting after this year's Daylight saving time changes. The meeting having been created by a DST "haver" the scheduled time changed for the non DST "havers". Artists is to remain anonymous given their age, but their brief description of the art goes as such: "Someone pressing the button on the clock to change the time." from the french: "Quelqu'un qui pèse sur un bouton du cadran pour changer l'heure."
