This week’s Community Hour POAP celebrates an in-depth focus on DeFi on Linera, following our Tuesday Developer Workshop featuring founder Mathieu Baudet, host Danny Greene, and community builder Zhao KK. We explored how Linera’s microchain architecture unlocks ultra-low-latency, end-to-end secure DeFi—including RFQs, real-time orderbooks, peer-to-peer swaps, and auction-style protocols—all scalable via user-owned and temporary chains. We also continued our Games on Microchains challenge and shared updates from the Linera ecosystem.

This POAP commemorates Linera’s Testnet Babbage launch—the second major milestone in our testnet rollout. Building on the success of Archimedes, Babbage introduces powerful upgrades including a trustless web client, configurable PoW microchains, and Ethereum-compatible signatures, pushing Linera closer to its vision of real-time, user-centric blockchain infrastructure.
