On March 26, 2025, at Epoch 2048, the Hoodi Testnet upgraded to the Pectra fork. If the upgrade is successful it will lend a strong signal that mainnet is ready for the Pectra upgrade.

The Rocket Pool community is celebrating the launch of Saturn 0, an important step toward Saturn 1, enabling new minipools to operate without requiring staked RPL. These minipools offer a 5% commission, with a bonus up to 9% if participating in the Smoothing Pool, depending on RPL stake levels. This bonus will phase out four reward periods after Saturn 1, encouraging users to transition while still earning RPL rewards with any amount of RPL stake. Under Saturn 0, any amount of RPL stake qualifies for rewards. This POAP was awarded to community members who attended the event in the Rocket Pool Discord.

On January 23, 2024, twitter user @GwartyGwart tweeted “If you’re ever stranded on a desert island just yell “Lido” and a Rocketpool community member will locate you and tell you that with 16 ETH you can earn more than Lido’s corporate validator set or whatever”. @marceaueth responded by sharing an edited comic strip by Kim Duchateau showing a red haired woman trapped on a beach and spelling out the word “LIDO” with rocks to summon help, and Rocket Poolers arrive quickly. This event peaked two days later when @ProfWerder, who happens to have a PFP showing a red haired woman messaged Superphiz to ask for help to encourage the Nouns DAO to stake Ether in Rocket Pool rather than Lido. In response, Superphiz created a group including Rocket Pool researchers to respond to the problem, thus fulfilling the prophecy as many Rocket Poolers came to her aid.
