The Family Mooks originally debuted as a comic strip in Mass Appeal Magazine in 1999. Doodle Labs, in collaboration with Mr. Kaves, has brought The Family Mooks back to life in a mashup of 10,000, fully on-chain generative NFT works of art.

Async Art allows artists to create dynamic art or music NFTs with blockchain technology that can be altered by multiple owners or external stimuli. Owners can change visual elements of the artwork though a “Layers” system as well as change audio elements of a music track through a "Stems" system. This new art movement allows digital art and music to evolve over time, react to its owners, or follow any public data point.
