On our 34th class we decided to continue the conversation we had the previous class and share different recipes step by step. Aside from making us hungry, some of us, I won’t say who ;) , finally learned how to make rice along with an oatmeal cake and we even found out that there’s a changua that doesn’t have milk! Imagine that …

In today’s class we began by splitting up into pairs and creating our own daily conversations! At the end we read them out loud, after some technical corrections were made, and we found out that many of us were already making plans to hike, go dancing and travel to the financial capital of the world! We even made a pact to go on X and tweet a recipe in English step by step. I hope to see your creations soon!

Taking the initiative from last class, we decided to focus our pronunciation efforts on the things that we were each reading on our own. We found out pretty interesting things about what everyone is reading, from articles on the use of screens at a young age, to extremely technical things focused on different professions.

Today we practiced different skills by reading an excerpt from The Little Prince. We saw new vocabulary, reading comprehension and even pronunciation. It just goes to show that with one exercise you can practice many more things than you thought!

On this occasion we had the fortune of speaking with Angela Ocando about all sorts of things going on in the crypto world. It was so much fun that we’re definitely thinking about making a segment with featured guests every once in a while.

On today’s class we did a simple exercise, but learned so much from it. We were able to see in real time how much our classmates truly understand what we say and then see and correct the small mistakes we make when we talk. This is super useful because we’re not that self aware most of the time and this works just like a mirror for self expression. As always, keep up the good work!

Remember that spiderman meme where they all point at each other and the words are: taught, though, thought, through, etc? Well we finally broke the code! On this pronunciation class we took a look at all of these words individually and we didn’t stop until we ALL had it figured out. The most important trick we learned is to stop linking together those words that are confusing when we compare them. Instead of that, we separate them and associate each word with other words that it rhymes with. It took a while, but we finally got it done!

Have you ever thought about what you really want to learn and why? Well, in this class we had a very realistic perspective about what each of us as individuals want to focus on and then defining realistic actions that we should be doing in order to get us there. No matter what level we consider ourselves to be, this exercise is always a good idea and we even began a joint effort to share all of the tools that we can for the learning path of other learners. Overall a very productive class!
