The digital art platform NEORT is proud to announce the official inauguration of the exhibition "AI Yokai Summoning Ritual" at NEORT++ and now distributes certificates of participation to commemorate the event. The exhibition will offer "POAP" to viewers visiting the gallery. This exhibition is a ritual for summoning new yōkai through haiku poetry, in which the author, the viewer, and AI collaborate. 108 linked verses (5-7-5 syllable structure) were created through an automatic writing process facilitated by Takakura Kazuki and Takeda Shun. These verses are then broken down into individual words, creating a pool of 108 x 108 x 108 words. Viewers are invited to create their own haiku (5-7-5) by selecting words from this pool. The haiku selected by the viewers are then transformed into 50-word English poems by ChatGPT. The resulting poems are read by an image-generating AI, developed by Kandagawa Sōyō and Takakura, which mimics Takakura's artistic style. This process summons a new yōkai, which is immediately turned into an NFT bearing the name of the haiku and released online.
The digital art platform NEORT is proud to announce the official inauguration of the exhibition "Gal Pals!" at NEORT++ and now distributes certificates of participation to commemorate the event. The exhibition will offer "POAP" to viewers visiting the gallery. Gal Pals! unfurls the signature universe and aesthetics that define the Shinsei Galverse community. For this exhibition, the walls of NEORT++’s gallery are enlivened and filled with a constellation of Gals. Networking, exchange activities, and Gals from local and international holders merge before being transcribed in a unique, immersive visual experience, along with a VTuber booth and more. Triggered by PM invitations in the style of those 90s internet phenomenon copypastas and chain emails, the main part of the exhibition has built itself via a community-fueled method. This modus operandi encouraged a few invited Gal NFT holders to submit one of their badass Gals and send an invitation to one or two Galverse pals, who in turn could submit and invite, keeping the (anti)curation-chain going. In that way, Gal Pals! emphasizes and focuses on URL social activities, net-generated friendships, and the open-source, exponential nature of the internet and, more recently, the Web3 space. The resulting physical space takeover is just one more of the Galverse community efforts.
The digital art platform NEORT is proud to announce the official inauguration of the exhibition "Reincarnation" at NEORT++ and now distributes certificates of participation to commemorate the event. The exhibition will offer "POAP" to viewers visiting the gallery. NEORT, NOLL, and Junni will exhibit their artwork "Reincarnation" at the art gallery NEORT++. Reincarnation is an idea based on reincarnation, the belief that human beings have an immortal root, such as a soul or spirit, that grows through reincarnation. In recent years, digital art has also made it possible to change and grow by inheriting information from previous generations through NFT, steadily approaching the mystery of life through a logical approach. In this work, the concept of Reincarnation is formed from a unique perspective by continuing to generate life that changes by incorporating new personal information each time it is reproduced. The work expresses the reincarnation of life from both the materialization and NFT axes by means of a 3D printer using renewable materials. We hope you will take this opportunity to view this organic transformation of digital art at the exhibition venue.
The digital art platform NEORT is proud to announce the official inauguration of the exhibition "私であることの試み/CONATUS" at NEORT++ and now distributes certificates of participation to commemorate the event. The exhibition will offer "POAP" to viewers visiting the gallery. This exhibition, titled An Attempt at My Being / CONATUS, speculates a new equation of body = image = documentary, using the new media of VR. The artist Michibumi Ito considers images as objects and transforms them within the virtual dimension. He experimentally arranges desperate issues freshly recorded in sharp focus by being tangled with the physicality and perception empowered by the new media.
The digital art platform NEORT is proud to announce the official inauguration of the exhibition "Thales’ Engraving" by Media Producer Masayuki Akamatsu at NEORT++ and now distributes certificates of participation to commemorate the event. The exhibition will offer "POAP" to viewers visiting the gallery. One night in the city-state of Miletus facing the Aegean Sea, Thales was walking while looking up at the starry sky. Because he was so immersed in looking closely at the stars and searching for their truth, he was unaware of the roadside ditch and fell into it. The important thing here is that he was on the move. His behavior seems bizarre for the time because celestial bodies are generally observed at a fixed point, such as a robust observatory. So let's imagine the stars reflected in his mind and eyes. That is the essence of "Thales’ Engraving". "Thales’ Engraving" refers to a photograph or video of the starry sky that uses a special long-exposure method. Star trails appear in the dark night sky, sometimes with clouds or thunder, as well as airplanes or satellites. The camera is digitally controlled by a unique device and program, and it takes several tens of minutes to several hours to shoot. With this kind of function, you can get a variety of images that differ each time depending on location, time, weather, and so on. Please come and see the new experiments of Akamatsu, who has a long career as a media artist.
