Devcon is the Ethereum conference for developers, thinkers, and makers. Holders of this POAP contributed to the Devcon VI Community Carbon Offset Pool and participated in the snapshot vote which decided on the choice of carbon offset project that helped make Devcon VI climate friendly. In order to compensate carbon emissions, the NCT (Nature Carbon Tonne) pool tokens must be retired (taken out of circulation) in order to avoid a double spend. This requires redeeming the NCT tokens (which represent the carbon offset project tokens from nature-based conservation projects within Toucan Protocol's Nature Carbon Tonne Pool) for one specific carbon offset project and then retiring them by sending them to the burn address. The snapshot vote allowed participants to vote on the real-world nature-based conservation carbon offset project to retire carbon credits from.
