You witnessed a landmark conversation between Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, and Vitalik Buterin, creator of Ethereum, at ETHPrague conference 2025!

The ETHPrague Conference unites builders, thinkers, and visionaries to reaffirm blockchain's foundational ideals: decentralization, trustless collaboration, and open-access innovation. In an era of accelerating complexity, we return to cryptographic primitives, consensus mechanisms, and protocol-layer integrity — not as ends in themselves, but as tools to rearchitect societal systems for fairness, resilience, and sustainability. Together, we confront existential challenges — from centralized AI governance to climate instability. ETHPrague's mission is to steward community culture towards opening ourselves to outside criticism and facing crucial reality checks on what we build towards. The future remains unwritten. By grounding progress in Ethereum's bedrock principles, we choose neither dystopia nor utopia, but a protocol-powered realism — one where technology serves humanity's deepest needs, not its shallowest wants. This POAP was given to attendees of ETHPrague, held over 27 - 29 May 2025.

We want to invite people to “Touch the Torch” to claim a POAP, and attach Moments in the form of pictures, to the POAP. On Tuesday 12th November at DC7, we carried out the ETH•TORCH ritual, passing the Eth values from Bogotá to Bangkok 🦄🔥 This simbolic ritual gathers the communities from Colombia DC6 and SEA DC7 around the values of Ethereum that the torch aims to immortalize. The ETH•TORCH is a DIP proposal that was approved for DC7. The torch was exhibited at the SEA HUB during all of Devcon, as a symbol of unity.

Devcon is the Ethereum conference for developers, thinkers, and makers. Devcon's mission is to bring decentralized protocols, tools, and culture to the people and make Ethereum more accessible around the world. Devcon is a four-day event, all in one big venue. You'll meet everyone in that one place. Devcon Week will span the entire week of November 9-17, with events before and after Devcon, organized by the local and global Ethereum community.

On November 9, 2024, Ether crossed over $3k yet again. While it's no All-Time-High, it's a significant mental milestone and a reason for celebration in the Ethereum community.
