What was celebrated: This September 21st, 2022, Metagellan announced the entrance of a famous French newspaper company called 20 Minutes in Decentraland. 20 Minutes has installed its news-stand at the foot of the Meta Mall, a virtual building in the metaverse. For the first time ever, passers-by can get their hands on a digital version of the newspaper and stay informed on the latest news. During the event, 20 Minutes presented their latest expansion project called 20 Mint (https://20mint.xyz/). It is the world's first free mass-market magazine entirely dedicated to web3. This project was entirely financed by an NFT collection of 999 typewriters that was sold on OpenSea during the official sale. 20 Minutes is now ready to step foot in the virtual world and planned a wearable giveaway during the event with a limited supply of T-shirts. A virtual copy of their well-known white polo shirts was recreated, to match the real version. For this I used VQGAN+clip which is a text to image converter. The term being used around this is now being called "promptism" ie: the words one uses to prompt the GAN are close to the artist. I took Rory's words and created several versions, tweaking the prompt as I went, until I ended up with one I was happy with through a conversation with the machine.
