2024-05-08
On this day in our shared history, The Tortured Employees Department was founded. Fed up with toxic culture perpetuating our livelihoods. We stand up against bullying and being a silent bystander to abusive behavior. This POAP is proudly held by those souls who: -Stand up to workplace bullying -Advocates of a psychologically safe workplace -Victims of workplace abuse -Those of us who wish for a better tomorrow We pledge to stand up to workplace discrimination, harassment, gaslighting and any of the like. Come as you are, stay to heal, leave to continue the mission of being wildly intolerant to bullies. POAP Song: Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me? -Taylor Swift
On this day in POAP history, Curation Lead, Amanda Reven completed her last day working for POAP. Please consider this POAP an invitation to keep in touch and a portal to discuss POAPs. While she is sad to go, she is excited to hear of POAP's adventures from this day forward. Thank you, for the work and dedication to the POAP Curation Body. We wouldn't be here without you. It was a seasonably warm December in Northern Virginia, we may have met at a Christmas party at the Renwick Gallery, or a play at Ford's Theater. Chances are the lights were glimmering, the music was cheery and strangers were making memories. It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance this season! -A Reven
On this day in history, four boss ladies got together and had an early dinner at Artie’s. The goat cheese was warm and the spinach artichoke dip was gooey. The ozzie rolls were delightful and the conversation flowed like sparkling mint punch. It was a pleasure to hear the story of A’s next adventure. 🫶🏻

Friday the 13th Lucky Dove
2023-10-13
On Friday the thirteenth, aloft in the blue, A lucky dove soared, its mission so true. Defying the myths of a day so maligned, It sprinkled good fortune on all it could find. With a flutter and gleam, it danced through the sky, Turning dark superstitions into a lie. For with each beat of its heart pure and just, It taught us that true luck is built upon trust. Lucky Dove: "coo Happy Friday the 13th coo".

A peaceful Saturday morning, starting with coffee and a big breakfast. We met up at half past noon, rogues ready to traverse Virginia to pick the fairest apples of all. Our sweaters are weathered, our hearts as warm as the cider cup in our hands, brimming with joy for the beautiful fall day we got to share together. Two R units and a whole P5 spent the day at the apple farm and it was wonderful!
