Herein is depicted El Morro, the historical landmark in Cuba. Named after the three biblical magi as the “Castle of the Three Wise Men of the Rock" ("Morro Castle"), the fortress guards the entrance into Havana bay. The design was created by engineer Batista Antonelli and built in 1589. This mighty structure, symbolic of Cuba’s resilience, has endured oscillating historical moments of conquest, colonialism, dictatorship, and revolution for over 531 years. Michelle stated many times that her artwork will also last for over five hundred years. Michelle portrayed the precise detail of the stone blocks of the fort, which affix it sturdily onto the cliff. Nombrada en honor a los tres magos bíblicos como el "Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos del Morro", la fortaleza protege la entrada a la bahía de La Habana. El diseño fue creado por el ingeniero Batista Antonelli y construido en 1589.
